The IS Developer is responsible for writing, maintaining, debugging, and supporting software for applications, given requirements that address business problems and opportunities. The IS Developer also provides occasional IT support to ensure continued productivity throughout the office.  This is an office based position in Wichita, KS.  Medova is not able to provide sponsorship.

Essential Functions:

  • Uses project tracking system to receive body of work and report progress therein.
  • Works to meet programming assignment goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Receives requirements and architectural guidelines to apply proper separation of concerns in code design.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents and installs modified and new programs.
  • Uses coding methods for specific programming language to enhance or initiate efficient program execution and performance and to reach optimum hardware use.
  • Monitors production programs for expected performance and responds to errors and emergency problems.
  • Takes independent action to correct problems encountered during systems operations within authority level granted by the project lead.
  • Maintains integrity of program logic and coding, and establishes required checks and balances for operational controls.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer operating procedures and operating standards.
  • Produces procedural documentation as required.
  • Creates SQL queries and associated reports
  • Assists with software development quality assurance
  • Assists with software development product support
  • Monitors and responds to incident tracking requests
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software issues with network, workstations, and printers
  • Monitors and maintains vendor interface configuration, data, and integrity
  • Identifies and proposes ways to increase productivity using technical solutions
  • Provides training to staff on software solutions
  • Assists in completing the HIPAA Risk and Security Assessments
  • Abides by HIPAA regulations and other privacy policies at all times
  • Maintains an exemplary attendance and tardiness record following established company guidelines
  • Demonstrates ability to work well with other departments and all Medova staff members
  • Completes other tasks, as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Core Skills:

  • Coding in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Design, Browser Development Tools
  • Coding in back-end technologies: Node, Java, SQL, RESTful Web Services (preferred)
  • Showing proficiency in Microsoft Office

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-4pm
